Dr. Bolton is a full professor of Nutrition and Pathway 2 Lactation Program Director at Metropolitan State University of Denver. She has taught at MSU Denver for over 24 years while continuing to practice clinical nutrition as a board-certified lactation consultant. She teaches Maternal and Child Nutrition courses in the MSU Denver Master's in Nutrition program and Medical Nutrition Therapy in the MSU Denver Undergraduate Nutrition program. During the past 20 years, her work has focused on training new lactation professionals and diversifying the field of lactation support. She has spoken on this topic locally, regionally and nationally over 30 times in a variety of settings. In addition, Dr. Bolton maintains a private practice, The Little Honeysuckle, as a prenatal and postpartum registered dietitian and as a lactation consultant.
