Danielle Gauss, IBCLC, Author of “The Booby Fairy’s Guide to Breastfeeding” and co-founder of Tongue Tie Tribe, an advanced practice collaborative approach team to lactation care. Danielle is an IBCLC Internationally Board-Certified Lactation Consultant, ICCE Certified Childbirth Educator, with extracurricular training as a Cranial Sacral Therapist. She is trained in Oral Tethering, specializing in the identification and treatment of lip ties, tongue ties, buccal and posterior tethering though holistic approach. She has received her education from UCSD. Danielle obtained her Board Certification as a Lactation Consultant through the International Board of Lactation Examiners and is a proud member of ILCA (International Lactation Consultants Association). Over the course of her 20-year career, she has assisted in numerous births and helped educate thousands of women about the birth process and breastfeeding needs of their infants. She had the unique opportunity to work as an IBCLC both in a hospital setting for 9 years and pediatric office for the last 9 years before settling into her new home base in Costa Mesa for the last 2 years. She has a passion for helping women who are survivors of assault find victory in their journey into breastfeeding and motherhood. Her specialties include:
